Short Stories…
Hey, folks! I am writing a series of short stories as a sort of supplement for the comic, side tales like INRICTI, where I can stretch the legs of some stuff a bit. It won’t be fast, but it’s coming, and I’ll keep you all in the loop.
I am writing this to ask, is there any character or idea in the series you especially enjoy, and would like to learn more about? Another tale of Andrus? The reason Charlene can drink everyone under the table? Let me know.
The first two involve Charlie confronting his parents and what they did to his life, and what happens when Charlie meets a black version of himself, but there are other ideas rolling around.
What do you want? More Dark Everett? More of the team? A story of the OTHER Charlies, the ones we don’t know yet? Let me know in the comments!

One thing I always thought would be cool would be to see a story from the perspective of Charlie’s students–how their lives were affected by him, whether they ran into one of the other Charlies later, etc.

I had some semblance of an idea for a short story, or as an element of the main one. Another Charlie that was on the cusp of being Dark Everett–even to the point of cutting off his nose, but chose a more benevolent path, though becoming a recluse. Kind of like: “Gray Everett”. He might offer insights, and perhaps even have an idea why Andrus is unable to die.
Kind of like Charlie Everett, who “stepped out of the stream”.
Just my 0.02.
Addendum: I don’t think I communicated the idea right. Or at least not fully formed. I was thinking like a potential “Dark Everett” who instead of being consumed by madness, pulled himself out of that dark maw in the nick of time and became a reclusive writer and/or followed some ascetic path. He could even have his face covered so his missing nose would not be visible to any other Charlies, so he wasn’t mistaken for the series central antagonist. He could be curmudgeonly, but a force for good, and an expounder of insight. (a little like a Yoda/Dr. McCoy mix)
Whatever the case, the idea is yours to use.
I would love to know more about Andrus and Junior. I know you said both would be explored further in the story but Junior really mystifies me. How does a Charlie become…/that/?
Junior is explored in INRICTI a little… his origin will be a huge, HUGE part of year three, maybe into year four.
I’m late on board with this one. I’d love more on Leo … but I suspect most of the revelations about him are part of the main fabric of the story, so I’m going to second that idea of seeing more of the Charlies we haven’t gotten to know. That is IF there are any who survive long enough to have a story. This habit of headquarters being wiped out might preclude that….
